Low Moor Medical Centre Opened in December 2005 as the first of the Bradford & Airedale LIFT developments the new facility replaced a main and branch surgery of an existing practice. The 800m2 building can accommodate a 6 GP Practice and provides facilities for a Health Visitor team, Minor Surgery, a District Nursing Team and an on site Pharmacy.

| Westbourne Green Community Health Care Centre Opened in March 2006 this 5,500m˛-flagship building has enabled local health and social care services to be brought together under one roof within the Manningham district of the city. Four GP practices have relocated into the new centre alongside District Nursing, Speech and Language Therapy, Podiatry, Dietetics, Minor Surgery, Counselling and a Pharmacy. An 18 bed Community Hospital provides 24 hr intermediate care and a Dental Training Unit has been developed on site in conjunction with Leeds Dental Institute.
Lord Warner, Minister of State (Reform), officially opened the facility in July 2006, and West Yorkshire Police have awarded the facility ‘Secured by Design’ status.
Westbourne Green was short-listed within the Community category as an example of best practice at the 2007 RICS Pro-Yorkshire Awards

| Haworth Medical Practice The Haworth Medical Practice sits on the eastern slopes of the Pennines within a designated conservation area. The building, which accommodates 9 GPs, was constructed with natural stone external walling and all construction features are sensitive to the exacting requirements of the Haworth conservation area.
The building was opened in July 2006 and provides facilities for the delivery of District Nursing, Health Visiting, GP Training, Minor Surgery, Physiotherapy, Child Health Clinics, Health Education, Family Planning, Women’s Health and Midwifery and also provides dispensing services for the residents of outlying villages.
Haworth Medical Centre was short-listed for the nationally prestigious Public Private Finance Awards 2007 within the category of Best Operational Design
In 2008 Haworth Medical Practice won ‘Best Health Facility 2008’ in the Bradford District Design Awards for Architecture 2008 and is shortlisted in the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) White Rose Awards 2008

| Thornbury Medical Centre Thornbury Medical Centre opened to the public in October 2007 and was developed to replace Laisterdyke Clinic, a 1960’s single-storey dilapidated building.
The new 916m2 facility is safely located within the Morrison’s Supermarket site, which allows ease of access via public transport and main road links. The land is leased from Wm Morrison Supermarkets PLC via a partnership agreement designed to help regenerate the surrounding area.
Staff and patients have welcomed the additional services available at Thornbury, which include Minor Surgery, District Nursing and Health Visiting, and the centre has experienced a strong increase in patient registration figures.
Sir Ken Morrison CBE, former Chairman of Wm Morrison Supermarkets PLC, officially opened the facility on 21st February 2008.

| Undercliffe Health Care Centre Undercliffe Health Care Centre has been constructed on what was the derelict site of the former Undercliffe Primary School. This 2110m2 building was completed and handed over in January 2008 and provides new facilities to the staff and patients of Peel Park Surgery and Valley View Surgery.
The scheme also delivers other medical facilities such as Dietetics, Podiatry, District Nursing, Speech and Language Therapy, Mental Health City Therapeutic Resource Teams, Midwifery and Health Visiting.
Staff and patients now benefit from on-site parking and an independent pharmacy, which is open six-days a week. This facility has been designed and located to complement those services provided in the new Hillside Bridge Health Care Centre, at the bottom of New Otley Road (see below).

| Hillside Bridge Health Care Centre Hillside Bridge Health Care Centre, which was named via a competition by a local student, is located on New Otley Road near Bradford City Centre. The facility is home to two GP Practices – Primrose Surgery and Pollard Park Surgery – and incorporates its own Pharmacy.
Local residents and former patients are now benefiting from additional services such as Speech and Language Therapy, Podiatry, Dietetics, Physiotherapy, Family Planning, Drug and Alcohol Services and Social Services. Practitioners with a Special Interest have been furnished with space and resource to enable them to offer Outpatient Clinics and Minor Surgery.
The new 2539m2 Health Care Centre, which acts as the hub of the Barkerend Locality Care Provision working in tandem with Undercliffe Health Care Centre, has been welcomed by local people, staff and patients and has greatly improved the appearance of the local area.
Bradford and Airedale teaching Primary Care Trust are planning to further enhance this scheme to provide a flagship drop-in health centre based on the Lord D’Arzi Interim Report proposals. This service extension would offer GP facilities 10 hours a day, 7 days a week.
